Still Life Serving is my conceptual sculpture (still in progress). The process of making this piece includes injecting my blood into my former breast implants (one ruptured, one intact) the shape of a pentagram and a pentacle respectively. Ritual results in the making of an aesthetic object. The ritual is also being recorded on video by Nicholas Flood. It’s a multi-stage process collapsing the real and the fake, fantasy and reality, science and magic –this is where the piece is now.
