I’ve given a lecture for five consecutive years in Introduction to Critical Sexualities, a 2nd year Women’s Studies course at York University. It has two parts. The first part is called The History of M2F Transsexuals 1900 to the Present. It is a historical narrative that I have constructed that illustrates how the meanings around gender-different bodies have been constructed by separate groups of “authorities” over the last 100 years. These authorities have included sexologists, psychiatrists, sex change doctors, gender theorists, and activists, each with their own agendas. The second part of the lecture is called The Eroticization of M2F Transsexuals by Heterosexual Men. It examines the different ways in which sexual meanings (and pleasures) are ascribed to transsexual women’s bodies by (otherwise) heterosexual men.

The following video contains excerpts from the second part of the lecture.

Love this. You turned it out! Wish I could see the whole lecture — perhaps when I go to York next year!

Ooh I liked this too! If you have any more…? I’ll watch them!! I wish there was a discussion forum here, just WATCHING these excerpts was a learning experience for me, and thank you so much! I disagreed with your point about T-girls not being found in nature(throwing doubt on developing sexuality), because I believe humans learn and develop by judging similarities, not realities when faced with new decisions. But then, I am also the type to miss basic points entirely when building my ivory towers. From what I’ve seen, you dont. W00t for more excerpts!!

Thank you for your insight. I am a 27 year old man who is only attracted to to M2Fs and GGs and have had a difficult time with this duel attraction as outing myself will undoubtedly convince other that I am gay when I am actually only attracted to femininity. It is refreshing to get your perspective and wish that there were more lectures like yours around western Massachusetts. People benefit from lectures and studies such as this as it helps to better explain sexuality and break stereotypes. Thank you again, it is great to get a transgendered woman perspective on this issue that is so close to me, I am very happy to have found this, please keep up the great work!
